Obama talked of UN sanctions against Russia instead of speaking to the European leaders directly. In other words, nothing will be done.

The west would be better to take a step backwards before they cause a war from which there will be no winners. the Russians will be no pushover remember they too are a nuclear power.

Putin is a power hungry Bully who supports people of the same vein!...As sanctions seem to be the only option @ the moment WHY are other Countries willing to enter trade agreements with Russia? FINANCIAL GAIN!..But @ WHAT COST?

Trouble is, there is no indication there was any involvement by Putin, or Russia) and that he is just someone Westerners love to hate.

Maybe economic sanctions will cause the Russion Masses to stop supporting Putin and he will be removed from power.

For the USA it seems like an easy choise to sanction Russia,it's not so easy for many European Countries, they have a lot to lose but of course it's impossible to sit idle while Putin rules the way he does.Maybe offer Ukraine a membership in NATO is a good way to go???

The hypocrisy is astounding. It is sad to see how fast even care2 falls for the political propaganda rush to blame someone when nothing has been proven yet. Have we forgotten Iran Air Flight 655 was an Iran Air civilian passenger flight from Tehran to Dubai that was shot down by the United States Navy guided missile cruiser USS Vincennes on 3 July 1988. destroyed by SM-2MR surface-to-air missiles fired from the Vincennes. All 290 on board, including 66 children and 16 crew, died. Whoever shot it down it was a terrible accident, but there is no reason to suppose that one side is less to blame than the other. Will we ever find out the truth when the White house has already cast the blame on Putin? How will we ever get an impartial investigation? It was the US who bankrolled the ones who overthrew the government. If anyone should be blamed for destabilizing the country we should look no farther than our own back yard. Its no quiescence that Kerry's son stands to make billions on gas deals in the Ukraine.

Eventually the MH 017 flight murder will be the undoing of Putin's plan to resurrect the USSR. He turned out to be a war monger trying to intimidate ex Soviet republics like the Ukraine to send in terrorists who are too scared to show their faces. They all wear Russian uniforms and Russian guns and balaclavas, cowards. Putin will pay for this in history, he thought he could be another Lenin or Stalin, in fact Mickey Mouse will be remembered more than him. Follow his demise!
