An estimated 1 billion--or 1 in 3--women globally will be beaten, raped, mutilated or abused during their lifetimes. With women suffering grave threats in CAR and around the world, we must act to ensure they receive support and have a voice in their country

Don't think anyone outside the U.S. can sign this, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Noted and violence against women and girls is abhorrent.

I gladly support women being treated with respect. However, I find it amazingly unfortunate that we, as Americans, are still fighting for respect ourselves.
I have a feeling that it will not be given willingly. We will have to fight for it, every step of the way.

It's unimaginable, how women of color, have a double whammy.

It's a waste of time posting petitions like this which are restricted to the US only. Cannot sign.

Is there an alternative petition we can all sign. This is obviously not a problem that's restricted to the United States. . .
