Excellent news. "Now they should face racketeering charges"! Sadly, they will no doubt keep this tied up in courts and never pay a penny. :(

Jeez. . . how much more mucky can Chevron get.
Aren't its employees embarrassed to work for them?

Sadly...I think Sue H. is right. And even millions/billions in fines is just ''the cost of business'' for them.

Not only has Chevron polluted a massive area in Ecuador, it has "intimidated judges in Ecuador, bribed others, falsified evidence, and coached Guerra to submit false testimony in US Federal Court and made a complete mockery of the our judicial system, not to mention the mis-use of a trade agreement to go after the government of Ecuador." Let's hope the judges throw the book at them for each and everyone of those charges.

'Chevron has now been busted by the lying testimony of its main witness. His new testimony proves that Chevron paid its star witness huge sums of money to present false evidence to frame the very people in Ecuador the company poisoned.'

There should not be "just a fine".
CHEVRON SHOULD BE DISSOLVED AS A CORPORATION, GONE FOREVER.
That is the ONLY "Justice".
They are NOT TOO BIG TO FAIL.
A Government oriented towards SOCIALISM could, and would be motivated to, do this.
THIS IS EXACTLY WHY WE NEED SOCIALISM - DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISM - NOT CORPORATE CAPITALISM.
We also need a CHANGE IN THE MINDSET of people in the U.S.
We need to BELIEVE THAT WE CAN DO THIS, that this CAN BE DONE.

If Al Capone, if the Mafia, can be busted...
WHAT CHEVRON DID IS NO DIFFERENT. Simply on a bigger, an International, scale.
Its CEOs SHOULD GO TO JAIL like other Swindlers and Liars-in-court have.
And the Company should be FORCED OUT OF BUSINESS.
Who rules - a tiny bunch of CORRUPT PROFIT$$$-MAXIMIZING CEOs - or WE THE PEOPLE?

First, they went for THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE IN VILLAGES IN ECUADOR - because they "knew" they could GET AWAY WITH IT.
They're coming for the Rest of us, next...
IT'S REALLY US VERSUS THEM. REALLY. ONE HAS GOT TO LOSE.
Sit on yer Butt, and it'll be US losing...
Do spread the Word, Social Media, etc....

As far as I can tell, Chevron is incorporated in the US, specifically in California (headquarters in San Ramon). But, of course, it has tentacles all over the world. What has to be done in order to get it broken up? If California yanks its incorporation, what's to prevent it from re-incorporating in Texas, where it is building a huge new home? I'm not trying to be a Debbie Downer, I honestly would like to know.
