The state of water in South Africa is dire. Sewage from our cities is flowing into rivers. While some communities do not have access to these services; where the services do exist, they are polluting rivers and dams for downstream users.

It seems that all the old infrastructure is starting to give in now, it would have been a good idea to upgrade all the sewerage and water systems before this happened, before the rivers were all polluted by mines and sewerage. Seems they can still get away with it.
