She was with the goup that was protesting ICE. It's the fact hat she wondered off and tried to climb to supposedly place a banner against ICE agents. Thanks Cal

So it seems Animae C; this means no freedom of expression.

Re: freedom of speech - Yes, you can protest, but you can't just climb all over national monuments, especially ones that have been under heightened security in recent years. How could anyone really know what she would do once on it?

Is she going to pay for the police time? And what if she injured herself? I believe in her cause but absolutely not the way she went about it. Stupid woman.

It is too bad, and sad, that people have indeed needed to do dramatic things in an effort to bring attention to the whole immigration situation. Neither the president, nor the GOP run congress seems the least bit interested in changing the awful, and traffic situation, on their own. U.S. immigration, and foreign policy blunders of either short-sightedness, and disregard for consequences, have created the wish for people to get out of the terrible situations in their home countries. Aside from the poem on the Statue of Liberty, which is relevant to generations of immigrants, including my forbears, even Donald's, there are the wonderful lyrics of Neil Diamond's "Coming to America,." This song was played, by the DJ at the pool in the development in which I live, yesterday, somewhat ironically.

Why does one go to where one is not permitted?

Gotta give her points for gumption. But, she minuses points on rationalization. Which ever comes up - she got attention, and that's where she scored. Seems that those who know how to capture the cameras and give a little shock these days are the headline makers,... for better or for worse. If the children and their parents or guardians are reunited then we're in the plus side.
