An interesting point that NO ONE ever considers. When the first moon landing happened, they were expecting there to be a certain amount of dust on the surface of the moon since it was considered to be billions of years old.
Well, all those idiots who reckoned it was only around 6,000 years old had a challenge to face. Since there was only the equivalent of accumulated dust from about 6,000 years on the surface, there was only a very small amount of fuel left to hold the lander off the surface of the moon till they could find a satisfactory landing site.
6,000 years or 4.5 billion? The answer was in the dust. You be the judge. How many excuses will you make? LOL
