This petition is open to Canadians only. This is unfortunate which is why I am wondering/hoping a petition can be drafted here at Care2 based on Human Rights Violations against the Canadian Government!

This is what the email message to your MP states:

"I call on the federal government to enter into a new era of relations with Canada’s Aboriginal Peoples – one that brings about justice, an end to policies of assimilation and moves towards true reconciliation. Now that Canada has signed on to the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, I want my government to live up to the principles it represents and move towards its full implementation by using it as a as a fundamental standard in its deliberations with Aboriginal Peoples."

Indigenous and Native affairs are a global issue ... having said that I should have prefaced this action
'FOR CANADIANS ONLY' ... if you really want to help look up international petitions and sign them ...
as Ellen M. suggests Survival International for Tribal people ... this is of course not related to First Nations or Native Americans but the survival of all indigenous cultures are equally important to protect.
