After a Swiss court reportedly ordered an Israeli oil firm to compensate Iran over a scrapped joint venture, Israel said that its laws prohibited any payment to "the enemy."

Of course Israel is above the law - it is a sacred cow, not to be criticized but allowed to do anything it damned well pleases.

Of course, the only way Israel knows how to settle disputes is through the gun barrel.

Such are Israel's civilized ways!

'Israel' is a law unto itself. One law for IT and one law for the rest of us! What could be fairer than THAT?!!!

Sam, Sam: did you really need to fake the title and the picture of the article again? Didn't your parents taught you that lying is bad? Unless, of course, they followed Koran that says it's OK to lie to infidels.

I like the first comment for the article:
"What are they putting in their cheese over in Switzerland? The current Iranian regime is not the same one that was ruling in 1968...its as different as pre- and postwar Germany or Japan, maybe even more distinct than pre- and post-Soviet Russia. You cant overthrow a government, declare all Iranian debts and deals null, but then still try to cherry-pick the ones that favor you.

Likewise, there's widespread international restriction and sanctions on Iranian profits from their oil industry. Its a sign of their desperation that they're trying to grandfather in this money. You don't even have to get into a discussion of the fact that Iran wants to annihilate Israel as a country and a people...just the legal merits alone should have made this case dead on arrival"

Don't waste your precious time Bob. Only a total imbecile would imagine Israel ought to repay this money to the lunatics in Tehran.

It’s quite expected that you’d defend the same money changers who turned the temple into a den of thieves.

Israel has created a kill or be killed victimization narrative it uses to justify it's actions against all it's "enemies".

Thanks Sam... and thanks for the innovative titles/pictures on your articles. Bob just doesn't seem to appreciate creative writing or understand Care2 rules on submitting articles, which have been pointed out to him numerous times but especially by Evelyn on this article by Sam:

http://www.care2.com/news/member/223806899/3879698

Something else he doesn't understand: the word hypocrite. Accusing Sam of lying, then implying you (and your parents) are something you are not:

"Didn't your parents taught you that lying is bad? Unless, of course, they followed Koran that says it's OK to lie to infidels."

You imply untrue things and sometimes state these "untrue" things as the outright truth.... against anyone who posts articles criticizing Israel. You Bob, are a hypocrite.

You really have a " Jew " problem, Sam. It's nothing to with Israel is it?

Like there's a difference between Judaism and Zionism. They're of the same tree - Zionism is the fruit of Judaism and unfortunately are not the problem of any one person but of humanity as a whole.

You are exactly the same as Sam, Earl. An out and out anti-Semite. I hope your Care 2 buddies finally see you two for what you really are.

Stanley. Being obstinately in denial of a problem IS treatable - so don't despair there's hope for you yet.

Wish I could say the same for you, Earl.

Thanks Sam! What else is new?
These off-topic comments here by the brigade distract me from actually making a reasonable comment, sorry.. and it is quite annoying to see the same over and again!
As for Bob, looks like there's a bit more he doesn't understand, such as English grammar.

This article here, the link provided earlier by Parsifal, has a bit more detailed story:

Israel Refuses To Pay Old Oil Debt To Iran

" According to the court, Israel's liability includes not only the $1.1 billion for its share in EAPC, but an additional $7 million to cover Iran’s legal fees."
Anyone else smelling BIG trouble here?

I'm getting a funny feeling there may be a lot more to all this, behind the scenes and well hidden to the public due to Nutnyahoo's gag order in place (actually replaced/ renewed in 2o12) on everything EAPC.
No stats available, nobody knows how much profit his project is and has been making since he nationalized it, all is concealed secret.
I did some reading up on the matter on a Swiss website, in German of course, to see what those "imbeciles" knew about it, such as reputable Swiss media. Quite interesting!
