Israel will "engage" with the International Criminal Court probing alleged war crimes, but only to question the tribunal's right to investigate Palestinian complaints.

""We've decided to engage with the ICC, the engagement will be limited solely to the question of authority" to deal with Palestine, the official told AFP on condition of anonymity."

Not what I would call REAL engagement on crime probe, only as a strategy to try to block such a probe.

Thanks, Sam

I assume I'm not the only one seriously questioning if THAT will be considered "cooperation with the court" for its probe and a possible investigation by the prosecutor. Let's wait until we hear Israel has done what they say it will do, submittted its "engagement" and see what response the court wll give.
Thanks Sam.

The Dutch court didn't take much notice of the Rabbi's defense and extradited him, so why would Israel think it would work at the ICC? I'm sure it'll work wonders to get chief prosecutor Fatou Bensouda to have an even better look at what has been happening in Gaza.
