We Are Lifelong Zionists. Here's Why We'Ve Chosen to Boycott Israel.

Undemocratic measures undertaken in pursuit of Israe's survival, such as the occupation of the West Bank and Gaza and the denial of basic rights to Palestinians living there, were understood to be temporary. But the occupation has become permanent.

Just to clarify. I have no direct knowledge of Bob A’s physical wellbeing. All I know is that he hasn’t been around lately. This particular story reminded me of him because it retained the original title and picture—something he always looked for. I would imagine he wouldn’t have had no problem with the subject matter since retaining the title and the picture would have robbed him of his typical reason to complain.

Sorry I got you all worried unnecessarily about Bob. I hope he found a cure for whatever ailed him when he was a regular around here!

As far as the resting in peace bit, well, I hope he doesn’t have to wait until then to find peace.

I really don't know the current health status of Bob A since he was suspended from Care 2 by the " usual suspects."
What I will say is that the comments from Sam, and especially Angelika, are in very bad taste, especially if he is ill or dead.
" just how *late* is the nitwit? Did his horse fail the job to bring him to you posts lately? You're not saying he died, are you..?"
This comment just about sums you up and shows you for what you are.

You’re really messed up in the head big time, Stan!

Instead of looking at the story as tribute to Bob A, for it was posted in the shape and form that he liked, you—as you always do—allowed your hatred to cloud your judgement and miss the point.

I think what’s in bad taste is objecting to the posting of a story in the format that Bob always seemed to favor.

Do you have anything meaningful to say about the subject of this thread?

Sam H (410)

Be careful with that Shiraz, Ros! If not for the alcohol, then for the Persian background!

Nothing that complicated. I was referring to my double negative in "...he wouldn’t have had no problem with the subject matter..."

Which means essentially that he would have had a problem. That's the slip!

But wine can nudge the mind in other directions--less boring than double negatives!

Thanks for posting this, Sam

We are increasingly aware of Jewish people, in Israel and abroad, who are very unhappy about the tone and attitude of the Israeli government and whose sense of integrity & ethics is gradually pushing them to speak up. They demonstrate what many of us have been stressing all along: the extreme right wing Jews, polit-Zionists & Israeli government do NOT speak for all Jews ...

Which demonstrates that those non-Jews who criticise the policies & strategies that ignore Palestenian human rights are NOT necessarily anti-Semitic because of their criticism.
There ARE anti-Semites (a mirror image of the Islamophobes & haters of Arab Semites, especially the Paelstinians who are an obstacle to "peaceful" annexation and land grabbing of the whole area that the extreme right wing want to be attributed to Israel - a Jewish only state) who exist, and a few (very few) are here on C2NN ... but there is extensive misuse of the term "anti-Semite" as a weapon to try to shut up valid criticism ....

So kudos to those who are starting to speak up louder, in public ...

Thank you Sam for posting this very honest article, which gives an excellent overview of what many progressive Jews and other Israel supporters have been mulling over in their conscience. Both authors, eminent spokesmen for this group, have been struggling with how Israel has veered away from what they see as true Zionism and by doing so has become an apartheid-like state that continues its subjugation of Palestinians based on convictions which they now see have become fallacies. And by doing so "Israel has embarked on a path that threatens its very existence."

The authors have described in a honest and brave way what many progressive, former supporters of Israel have struggled with, Jews or not, and how they came to the conclusion that a worldwide BDS is the only way to get Israel back on the right path before it is to late and "Settlement growth and demographic trends will soon overwhelm Israel’s ability to change course."

I don't know who Bob is but I see a lot of wasted space here. As a Jew I support Israel's right to exist but like may open-minded Jews do not support what they are doing. I have to wonder if They are occupying more territory because they feel more insecure as they were under attack from the beginning when the UN took the land from Palestinians and gave it to the Jews/soon to be Israelis. Sadly it is all backfiring and the oppressed have become the oppressors. It makes me sad in many ways.

Oh for heavens sake GO AWAY TROLLS! I will never understand the mindset that causes people to go on internet rants. This is an article talking about two people speaking out - agree or disagree, ranting senseless babble will not do anything to change opinions other than piss people off!

ON THE ACTUAL TOPIC- Glad to see another story about people taking a stand against horrific violence. These two deserve a commendation from HRC or something.

The Judeophobes are out in force and insulting someone. Angelika, that is in the worst possible taste and absolutely appalling. You all should apologise but I doubt it, attacking someone who cannot stand up for himself seems to be the best that you can come up with!

Gillian M (11)

This article is also a load of rubbish because it talks about the occupation of Gaza, where? And the West Bank, only in their designated area. If there is any other occupation then no-one knows about it.

Then you talk about apratheid - a system of racial segregation in South Africa enforced through legislation by the National Party. As Muslims have exactly the same rights as any other Israeli including being a member of the Knesset, I do not see how they suffer from any form of discrimination.

I see the witch hunt for Bob, Bidet continues even to the extend of profanities, but care2 support tolerates it in spite of some of us objecting and flagging the profanities and witch hunting, name calling, defamation, etc ..

The stench rising up from this thread is in very bad taste indeed .. I guess a reflection of the stench of the rotten lies in this article ..

Totally agree Yonati and Stan! The hatred that comes out of the left is unspeakable! But it will never change with them! One reason and the main reason why I stopped doing stories because they can't take the truth and what truth is in front of their noses they refuse to comprehend and recognize AS truth! It's impossible to get them to change their minds because of the lack of comprehension that they have! So many are just plain evil and vile with what comes out of their mouths say nothing about what is in their minds!

angelika, It is OK for you to insult someone but if someone points out your appalling and insulting behavior then you flag it. Sheer hypocrisy.

There are stories from Germany about the people who lived next to the concentration camps and thought it was a good idea or who went in and abused the prisoners. They even learned to think that Jews were second class citizens.

Jews are worth far more than the fascists in your country or the Muslims that you admire because Hitler thought that they were wonderful.

I see the anti-Israel brigade have not been suspended despite their profanities on this thread, I guess I should at least be thankful that their profanities have been removed, even though their vulgarities, speaking of those who are still alive as if they are dead has not been removed despite being flagged .. Baxter and company, never cease to whine and complain - anythiing to try and change the subject - it helps them to not look at Israel's disgusting human rights record, or themselves, no doubt..

Ha ha, only they seem to think their 'Jew hating labels' stick to anyone, except to themselves; would not surprise me, at all.

Likely, a classic case of projection and discredit.. the old hasbara stand by.

jess, sre you giving up your income to the people that you want to be homeless and starving? That's all BDS is, making the people you claim to help suffer. You take away their jobs because they work happily alongside Jews/Israelis and you really can't stand that, can you?

The anti-Semitism coming from the foul mouthed Judeophobes on this page absolutely stinks!

We watched it live on T.V, and thanks for the kid's mother and sister. They have done the impossible to liberate him from the hands of the Israeli soldiers. Unfortunately, It is one tragic case among many others.
On the other hand, Supportive countries will never refrain from providing the necessary material and non-material assistance to Israel despite some verbal warnings from time to time.
