All the religious KOOKS in the world will, of course, use this "sign" to deliver their own messages of propaganda/destruction/intolerance.

A total solar eclipse is a specially auspicious time for spiritual practice. There is one happening on 21st / 22nd July'09. Whether or not the eclipse is visible where you live, it is good to make an effort to practice wholeheartedly when it occurs. The benefits are said to be a million times that of practicing at other times... Nithya Shanti !

Thank you Samantha. I have had the priviledge of seeing a total eclipse (1998) and can say that, whatever one's beliefs, it is a very rare and beautiful moment that each observer can appreciate in his or her own way.

I'm supposedly in an area that will be 80% covered by the moon. So, the weather forecast? Cloudy with rainy periods -- clearing up AFTER the eclipse. Grrrrrr!
