THE rescue of a whale trapped in shark nets off the Gold Coast yesterday is set to reignite the environmental debate over the use of the nets. Rescuers spent several hours untangling up to 180m of shark net from around the whale before, near exhaustion

Thank you Jacquelin, for this information. Since the time that such accidents happen, I do not understand why the authorities do nothing. Absolutely nothing. Statements of intent. But no real decision-making intervention. And it's the same in all waters of the world. Territorial waters and international waters. It's disgusting.

It is an absolute disgrace what man
has done to destroy the oceans & the sea life there.

Only when it is all acknowleged as
destroyed will we say what happened?

Truly man is an idiot
for his own selfish wants.
