Using the new procedures, passengers will arrive at the airport already holding a boarding card, after checking in from their homes, hotels, internet or at check-in counters soon to be installed in the airport. The passengers will present their travel documents to the security guards, who will mark their luggage and send it to the automatic security screening system, where the screening process will be conducted without the passengers being present. The passenger hall in terminal 3 will no longer feature screening machines.

Given the choice I would only ever fly El Al.

Noted. May it live up to Israel's best technology; i'd hate to think of any computer/technological error and how to address it were it to happen.

We agree with Stan......El Al is the safest airline in the world. A flea couldn't get on board without being checked first.

I've never flown in an airplane and I never expect to, but there are others who do.

Let our technology protect all passengers.

"The benefit from using the system is double: Saving time and conducting non-biased screening." YES!

Sounds a fantastic idea.On a visit to Israel a few years ago I was very impressed by the amount of security that took place.I was also shocked at the amount of tourists that did nothing but moan about short delay and the " nosy security officials " they did not seem to understand it was necessary for their own safety.Contrast that by the security at Heathrow airport in London where despite checking into the correct desk we suddenly found ourselves transferred into a queue of people on their way to Egypt ,a proper cock up.When I complained about the breach of security I was warned by a policeman not to make a scene or I would not be allowed to board my flight. When I returned home I again raised the matter with the airport authorities and did not even receive an acknowledgement let alone an apology. El Al security is second to none but they cannot do anything regarding the stupidity of others.
