UN Watch is a non-governmental organization based in Geneva whose mandate is to monitor the performance of the United Nations by the yardstick of its own charter. The independent group was established in 1993 under the chairmanship of the late Morris B. Abram, pioneer civil rights leader with Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., and former U.S. ambassador to the UN in Geneva. UN Watch participates actively at the UN as an accredited NGO in Special Consultative Status to the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and as an Associate NGO to the UN Department of Public Information (DPI). UN Watch is affiliated with the American Jewish Committee.

UN Watch depends on the generosity of people like you to continue our mission, relying entirely on the donations of private individuals and foundations. To support the vital work of UN Watch, please donate here.

Who holds 53 seats (I may be off by one or two) and would love to complete the set in the Middle East? The UN has to do it's part to assure that there are no Jews and no democracy.
Now, if it were disbanded and replaced with thorough, experienced, professional, impartial........
Yeah, like that's going happen!

Thank you David. What this shows is that the UN, especially the committees dealing with human rights, has become a complete sham.

Yes, every day is "hate Israel day" at the U.N. This is all the more true because fully 1/3rd of the countries of the U.N. are Muslim -- the 56 member OIC -- Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Muslims are told in Islam to hate Jews -- all Jews everywhere. Their End of Days scenario includes the total annihilation of every last Jew, and the Shia right now feel that their EOD is right at hand, and what better instrument to use than the U.N. to demonize, deligitimize, distort and sow hatred with so many gathered together in one building.

The international loony bin, otherwise known as the U.N., has been described as an extremely corrupt institution, where obscenely rich Islamic oil countries give large amounts of money to poorer countries to not only buy votes against Israel, but bribe countries and give promises of votes for the receiver countries' leaders.

This is especially helpful to the Islamic countries who don't want the spotlight on some of the worst human rights abuses in the world -- their own. And it's so easy to use the magic money to get other countries to provide the incentive for the Islamic world to keep getting away with what would easily be the worst human rights abusers and instead focus on Israel's tiny faults compared to the giant ones of others.

We should pull out of funding the U.N. It's long past time.

The UN bias is obvious.

Why on Earth the Arab Nation got 22 votes, soon will be 23, while US, China, India, Russia with greater population have one voice each?

Brits gave each Sheikh who was not with the Nazis a state. Good for them/ But now we are paying for that dearly. The organization supposed to bring fairness to the world became an example of diplomatic bullying.

Bob, the Brits just wanted the oil so handed over land to those most likely to be friendly. Then, surprise surprise, America came and brought their industrial Mixer with them. The CIA still shit stir and pretend it's all about national security. Not sure who for. Their infernal and continual meddling in something they know nothing about and really don't understand is making a bad and deteriorating situation even worse. Look at Iran, a forward looking country under the Shah. The overthrow of the dictators, caused, supported and financed by the US allowed the extremists out of their bottle and they aren't going back into it. I can only hope that they have nightmares of the blood on their hands.

Yeah, those evil "occupiers of Syrian Golan" abuse people by providing medical care to Syrian refugees. And then e renowned Technion university offers its online courses in English and ARABIC - to anyone in any country. And...

Oh, what the hell...it's fashionable to hate Israel. The big problem is that most people cannot distinguish the Israeli government from Jews around the world, so anti-Semitic attacks increase. You know, the ones claiming "Zionazis" run the world.

Do I believe there should be a dedicated, as you call it "hate Israel day" at the UN or anywhere else? Absolutely not. I do not hate Israel, but I do hate some of the acts committed by Israel like the theft of Palestinian land and the continued building of illegal settlements. I know a lot of Israelis dislike Netanyahu because of his lying and aggressive attitude ie think the 2 state solution. I certainly do. He can't be trusted. But violence only perpetrates violence.
I agree with Debra G when she says "The big problem is that most people cannot distinguish the Israeli government from Jews around the world..." Just like we talk about moderate Muslims having a rôle in promoting peace within the Muslim community, so moderate Jews have the same responsibility within the worldwide Jewish community. The organisation Jewish Voice for Peace has an open letter which perhaps you'll consider signing, JVP: Time to Choose. Here is a short paragraph from it: "We therefore call on all who seek freedom for the people of Israel and Palestine to choose justice, and to join us in asking friends, loved ones, community leaders, institutions and elected officials to put pressure on Israel to reach a just agreement with the Palestinians."

Lynn, I am against any biases, and hope you are against them too.

Look at the JVP statement a bit closer: ""We therefore call on all who seek freedom for the people of Israel and Palestine to choose justice". This is perfect.

But the next line:"join us in asking friends, loved ones, community leaders, institutions and elected officials to put pressure on Israel to reach a just agreement with the Palestinians."

Why pressure on Israel, and NOT on Palestinians AS WELL???

Because of this obvious bias, I treat JVP with a great suspicion. Exacerbating fact is that it is sponsored by an evil and anti-America man Soros.

We could talk about "theft" of Palestnian land if that land belonged to Palestinian Arabs, but we cannot talk about that "theft" when Palestinian Arabs simply invent the claims on Israeli lands. Remember, that Hamas had to kick out Palestinian Arabs truly stealing Palestinian lands.

Bob, the process of justice and peace has to start somewhere and this where the JVP, as Jews, have decided to start. Lao Tzu said a journey starts with the first step. Part of the problem I believe is the old war hawk, Netanyahu. Really he is not much different in his hawkish views than US Republicanus/Teabaggerum. That's partly why he struck such a cord with Boehner and made the speech in Congress. His motivations were different but in the end the goal is the same --- get rid of Iran and a Number of Arab states.

Luckily for us, apart from the ME, UN celebrating 'hating Israel day', the majority of journalists (the media) who joins in, they do not reflect the majority of people in Israel, nor EU or US we hope. They are simply the "minority Ashkenazi Jewish haters of Israel" - in their own words .. I quote ("no wonder Bibi is so popular in Israel, he speaks fluent Mizrahi", the language of the native Israelis, the ones from the ME, Africa -also in the self-hating Ashkenazi Jewish journalist's own words I quote):

As a journalist, I must start with the world of media. Let us conduct a small test. Among journalists, what is the percentage of Mizrahim as compared with that of Ashkenazim? How many of them live in Tel Aviv, and how many live on the periphery? How disconnected from the people are we, the media?

I have a feeling (I did not count, I admit, but every israeli journalist is of Ashkebazi background, resides in Tel Aviv and lives in a keft-wing bubble. We like to listen to the same radio programmes that nobody in the periphery listens to, watch cool current events programs that have next to no viewers, and read the so-called "thinking people's" newspaper, Haaretz, even though all relationship between it and the state of Israel is purely coincidental. We will sit in downtown Trl Aviv and go on and on about Bibi and his wife without realising that most of the country admires him.

Maybe that is because we're cut off from the State of Israel and tuned in to the Srate of Tel Aviv. .. Even if Bibi screwed them, neglected them .. the Mizrahim know that "the Ashkenazim from Labor - the amulet-kissers" are going to screw them even more.

At least he's an honest self-hating Jew, so there is plenty of hope for him still ..

""We therefore call on all who seek freedom for the people of Israel and Palestine to choose justice"

There is a problem with the word "justice". Different cultures define "justice" differently. Whose "justice" do you mean? Western (Judeo-Christian); Moslem (Suni or Shii); Chinese; etc. ? Should one impose his meaning of justice upon another?

it is not about Israel or the 'Jews' it is about a NaZionist government and Zionists making the country an Apartheid settler State

I would highly recommend for everyone to understand the roots of Zionism to watch this speech, it is the short version but puts well in a nutshell how the big wars ravaged the world:

Amazing Warnings of Benjamin Freedman - Speech on Zionists (German Subs)

If one joins The Voice of the Martyrs - USA, one will learn about the very serious human Rights violations in many countries throughout the world. Even Open Doors USA and other Christian sites expose and have different global statistics. https://www.opendoorsusa.org/christian.../world-watch-list/

The UN statistics are truly false!!! The Islamic world does not only hate Israel, but it also hates Christians just as severely!!!

Lynn, of course the first step is needed. But if someone declares that he is blatantly biased, like JVP did, the only people who would walk with him will be the ones with the same bias.

JVP proved itself to be dishonest player. I will not support them in any way. Even if they bring thousands of Rabbis speaking and generously spend all the money Arab states and Soros gave them.

Will anyone find days where another country is singled out?
