How awful and cruel to the animals, that country is. There seems to be no end to how they will abuse the animals.

And no animal have been injured believe that and I have some prime swamp land for you to build on. Ludicrous. Somehow I don't think St Anthony would approve. Noted and shared

What is wrong with this country anyway?I know not all Spaniards support the cruelty there but animals seem to suffer there so much-the bulls, the galgos, the horses, and there must be some I don't know about. This is from the country that brought us the Spanish Inquisition. Whats next I wonder.

The Spanish seem not to be growing they have always had no respect for animals I had an apartment outside of Alicante and the way they treated dogs donkeys etc made me so sad I had many arguments but the reply was always the same with a laugh THEY ARE ONLY ANIMALS

I've been around horses for most of my life and it's common knowledge to ANYONE who knows anything about horses, to know that HORSES HAVE A NATURAL FEAR OF FIRE! What is wrong with the people of Spain?? They torture and kill bulls for sport and submit horses to fear, in celebration of a saint. THIS IS WRONG and I BELIEVE SAINT ANTHONY IS NOT HAPPY with their behaviour.

That is quite paradoxical, what they do. Yet another example of a situation in which people ought to break with tradition: when it does more harm than good! Why terrify the horses, put them at risk? I can see people go through this with their horses, but nothing gives them the right to force the animals into this, whether the reason be their superstitions {the supposed fiery purification} or a religion {what belief system is it then?} or a dubious tradition. Moreover, in fact it seems like it has been done for the thrill of it: "Oh, I've ridden my horse through fire!", which is one of the strongest arguments against it. They've done so in the last 500 years? Nothing justifies backward thinking that perpetuates harm. Is it not time to abandon it and move on to something better then?

CRUEL! You can tell by the way these horses throw their head they do not want to do this.

total dumbasses. Double dog dare them to do a good old hawiian style firewalk over hot coals using THEIR OWN bare feet!!!----Now THAT is macho and Impressive!

Are they waiting for one of their fellow morons to fall into the fire and roast like a marshmellow?
