This was interesting....

"Thrashing El Nino storms, which stripped a great deal of sand from the shores of Coronado, California, have revealed an amazing glimpse into history.
During low tide Saturday, the rusted remains of SS Monte Carlo emerged from the beach, close to Avenida de las Arenas. Joe Ditler, who has been studying the shipwreck for 30 years, was there to snap pictures of the wreckage, which appears from time to time when sand is sparse.
According to Ditler, a vicious storm rocked the Monte Carlo on Dec. 31, 1936, breaking the ship from its moorings three miles from Coronado’s shore.
Two caretakers were rescued from the 300-foot boat, and on New Year's morning, it washed up on South Coronado Beach.

NBC 7's Omari Fleming reports on the reaction of Coronado residents and visitors when news spreads of a infamous shipwreck surfacing along the edge of the beach after El Nino storms. (Published Thursday, Jan. 28, 2016)
In the Prohibition days, the ship was anchored in international waters to avoid U.S. laws. People searching for gambling, prostitution or bootleg whiskey would take smaller boats out to the “sin ship” for a night of revelry, Ditler told NBC 7.
Famous actors such as Clark Gable and Mae West reportedly gave the Monte Carlo their patronage.

The "Sin Ship" hey, well there are a lot of those today and on land too. lol We had a bad storm on the east coast when I was living in MA that unearthed a huge olympic sized swimming pool right at the beach.

I never knew it was there, but my Mother had known of it, she was a younger woman when it was open and in use. Storms destroyed it and so it was just covered over for years with sand.

Yeah, and now, people with the SAME MINDSET are attributing storms, floods, tsunamis, 9/11 even, to Gay Marriage, Feminism, Lesbians, "Christian Persecution" by Gays, and "God withdrawing his Grace from the U.S." because of those things.....! Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose. "The more things change, the more they are the same."
Ha. Ha. Ha.

==========
Like what certain prominent Christians say is to blame for 9/11, tsunamis, floods, wildfires and other disasters.... Gay Marriage and Feminism being the sins of choice, rather than gambling or bootleg whiskey...
Hey those pastors themselves, and their listeners and congregations, now practically ALL drink alcohol, gamble on the lottery if not also in casinos, or OWN casinos, and as for prostitution, that's until they get PUBLICLY CAUGHT and outed on the Internet...
So that's not a "thing" with them any more, it's Gays and Lesbians being happy and Women having Rights that's NOW drawing the Wrath of a fickle, changeable God...
