Thank you Kathy. This is so true, in the first world war, Australia lost thousands of Waler horses, the poor ones that were not killed by the war had to be left behind because our government would not let them come home. M

Oh Kathy this brings my favorite to mind. If you can withstand the tears check this song out. It's about the real horse (Comanche) that custard was riding at the battle of little big horn.

Oh sure Kathy C, make me cry! I love that song Comanche. Hadn't heard it in a long time. Have always been a fan of Johnny Horton too. Thanks for sending link to listen to the song. :)
