A new scorecard that ranks the palm oil sourcing commitments of 30 top companies in the packaged food, fast food, and personal care sectors shows that 24 of them have inadequate commitments or lack commitments altogether.

Really interesting scorecard that I've saved in case others ask. I would so much prefer to see palm kernel oil completely removed from any products, and am boycotting it for now. However, not all are willing to do that. If not, then only buying from companies that use sustainable sources would be the way to go.

Thanks for sharing Evelyn. The Union of Concerned Scientists does fantastic work informing us about palm oil.

Seems those two Girl Scouts who prevailed in getting Kellogg's to change formulation (recipe sounds too healthy) should be commended. Agree, UCS is doing a good job getting the research done and the word out.
