Gareth Porter has recently published a book titled "Manufactured Crisis: The Untold Story of the Iran Nuclear Scare" which discloses the unseen and masked truths behind the decade-long standoff over Iran's nuclear program. Interesting interview ----

And when one has Israel accusing Iran about nuclear - one can't help asking about Israel's nuclear programme - & how much access they allow by inspectors?
For thos with a technical turn of mind: a newly "declassified" report by the Institute for Defense Analyses from 1987 CRITICAL TECHNOLOGY ASSESSMENT IN ISRAEL AND NATO NATIONS

Well, Thank Goddess (says the agnostic) that, so far, the nuttin'Yahoo is only throwing stones, and not (yet) shooting nukes, out of his glasshouse !

Although it's been declassified, there are lots of portions blanked out :-/

That's why declassifying takes so long, Darren! They blank out parts that could be detrimental to others (in this case, other NATO allies) before releasing the document!

A) When you see a strange pinkish glow in the sky, you'll know Mr. Porter was deceived (deluded?).

B) It's not Bibi who's throwing stones...excuse me, the Middle East.

C) If Bibi has nuclear weapons and intends to use them....why hasn't he already???

Noted. Thanks for posting, Evelyn. We must do all we can to silence the lying & fearmongering war profiteers who twist and turn facts. Israels' far right-wing doesn't seem to be on the side of a peaceful truce---always stoking the fires of war. Yes, they are AIPAC-connected. Thankfully, there are a multiple of American Jewish groups I receive mailings from that are pushing back, as the pleas for peace grow louder.

POP QUIZ: Name every peace treaty ever signed in the Middle East. Get ready, get set......GO!

Lois, multiple American Jewish groups have reclined in armchairs in safe, secure, cushy American suburbs for generations. They don't even bother to visit Israel ~ or they're too scared. I wonder how differently they'd feel if rockets were crashing through the roofs of their Foothills homes, or an entire family was butchered out in Oro Valley. What if their daughter's Bat Mitzvah was shattered by machine gun fire. Or the community Passover seder blown to bits by a suicide bomber.
This is what happens in Israel EVERY day and it's been happening every day for decades.
There were opportunities for peace in 1937, 1947, 1967, 2000-2001, 2014. WHO was it that blew the chicken each and every time?

Evelyn, if Iranian mullas get hold of nukes and nuke Israel, your people will suffer too. Israel is too tiny to contain all radioactivity, it will spread.

Blind hate is not a good adviser.

Bob, explain to them about wind drift and nuclear winter. And about fallout contaminating waterways and animals and crops. Electromagnetic pulsing. Radar blackouts. Earthquakes. Black rain. Climate change. Toxic pollution.

Barbara, I could try explaning nuke consequences that you mentioned, and may be the clever of them could understand.

But Iranian mullahs don't care. Ah-MAD-inejad or his boss said that it's OK to lose a few millions of Iranians if Israel will be destroyed. Those nuts are looking for Mehdi coming, this is their religious duty - similar to ISIS in some aspects. Add here 72 virgins at no cost - and lots of people would be happy to die to change their lives in Iranian Hell for possible, though not proven, Heavenly Iranian Paradise.

Reasoning is not relied upon in those minds.

Bob, I know *they* wouldn't mind adding more *martyrs* to the list.....

Actually, I was thinking of their *supporters* and *defenders* who:

A) Obviously don't care if Israel is nuked - probably secretly rooting for it.
B) Obviously don't understand that a nuclear event isn't localized ~ sitting in their comfy armchairs in their
safe and cozy countries typing comments on Care2 ain't gonna save 'em.

Barbara, I think some of the posters using English-sounded names are typing from Gaza: notice the great devotion to only one cause, an agenda always matching Hamas initiatives and endless efforts looking like a full-time job.

Of course Bibi is right. Everyone knows that Iranian mullas will outsmart or convinve Obama because "Yes they can". May be Obama will come up with another job creation program as another response.
