Sumatran Elephant Found Dead and Mutilated in Aceh

IUCN has classified the Sumatran elephant as "critically endangered". There are estimated to be between 2,400 and 2,800 of the animals remaining in the wild. WWF says the animals face extinction in less than 30 years unless the destruction of habitat ends

Very sadly noted. This country is so corrupt, and I wonder what they will do when all the forests are gone. Naturally with habitats being destroyed the Elephants and Orangutans will enter villages looking for food, but the farmers do not have to poison them! Animal abuse is running rampant in today's world sadly.
