In Italy - a group reacts to someone using a "disabled" parking space ... I suspect that he will think twice before doing this again!

Would be useful for all those bone idle rushing to work people who can't be bothered parking properly. . .

Brilliant idea! Being disabled myself it is really upsetting to see perfectly healthy people park in a disabled parking spot. I have questioned a few after checking to see that they have no disabled plates or placard. Excuses range from I'm in a hurry, only be in the store for a minute, didn't see the sign, I'm not hurting anyone by parking here. Not one of these people would move their car when made aware that it was for handicapped. :(

Is a brilliant idea and didn't hurt the man's car, maybe his pride. However in the USA if a policeman was there he would not be allowed to drive away without making sure all his windows and mirrors were completely cleared. If he didn't pick up the paper he'd be fined for littering. In the State of Massachusetts that is a $10,000 fine so all papers would need to go inside his car.

Call the authorities Marcia, they should be happy they don't require such a spot.

Calling authorities is a good thing to do but those calls are very low priority and the car is usually gone by the time authorities show up. Now that I have a cell phone it's what I shall do and hope the car is still there when police show up. I have seen pictures of people putting something that looks like a parking ticket on the car but is made up for those who use handicapped spaces when they don't need them. Maybe I'll get some of those. :)

Absolutely brilliant!

Not enough laws in Italy!
In Australia too he would have been booked with a hefty fine for parking in a disabled spot currently around $500 & loss of licence points, also fined for littering & driving off with obscured windows!!!

Thanx Evelyn

I admit, I was disappointed that the cop let him go with so little visibility ... Definitely dangerous driving ...
And I suspect that he could have called him for littering, too (I think that there is a law on littering - but, like in France, not often applied!)

In France & Spain I've seen signs (often paid by Rotary Clubs) on Disabled Parking spots:
"If you want my parking, take my handicap too"

Maybe one could get stickers made (with nice strong glue!!!) with such a message .... and stick it on the cars ... for example:
"I'm not disabled, but I use parking reserved for those with diasabilities"
The drivers might not notice for a while!!! If it is on the back or on the passengers' side ....
A support association could probably produce in bulk & distribute to those who have the disability sticker, for them to use ...

Brilliant! or as Kathleen would say Wicked Cool!
Wonder if this Jack Leg drove through a car wash?
This has to travel! Wish people did this all over for abusers of this law!

Of Course THANK you Evelyn!
