Queensland's department of environment & heritage protection has issued a final so-called environmental approval for Adani's project. Betraying its environment AND heritage protection roles for $$$$$$$. NB - this isn't the mining permit .... not yet

LEAVE ALL FOSSIL FUELS IN THE GROUND.
82% of Fossil Fuel Reserves must be LEFT IN THE GROUND - 82%! -
if we are to avert Climate CATASTROPHE due to Global Warming.
NO MORE drilling, COAL MINING, fracking,
and transporting, leaking and spilling and exploding,
and BURNING and spewing into the Atmosphere.
NO MORE exploration for new sources!
This should be Environmentalists' MANTRA:
LEAVE FOSSIL FUELS IN THE GROUND.
==========
Leave the OIL IN THE SOIL
Leave the COAL IN THE HOLE
Leave the TAR SANDS IN THE LAND.
Eliminate ALL use and extraction of Dirty Fossil Fuels for Energy, NOW! ASAP

Corporate Capitalism by its VERY NATURE, has to CONSTANTLY GROW.
Therefore, the Capitalist Corporations WON'T STOP -
they CAN'T STOP -
until they have extracted EVERY LAST RESOURCE THAT'S EXTRACTABLE,
from EVERY LAST SQUARE INCH OF THE EARTH.
And from the Air above and from the Water below.
Therefore, WE HAVE TO PUT AN END TO CORPORATE CAPITALISM, BEFORE IT PUTS AN END TO US. And to all the Animals. THIS IS WHAT IS IN OUR FUTURE if we don't STOP CORPORATE CAPITALISM.

"Two court cases, from traditional owners & the Australian Conservation Foundation, are still ongoing."

"GetUp said the mine would "kill the Great Barrier Reef", Greenpeace said it would "add to global warming" and the Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) said it would create "billions of tonnes of pollution"."

AND all major financing companies have refused to finance them, none of them want to be associated with this DESTRUCTION!!!

hopefully this sad case will go on in the courts until Adani and other planet destroyers see the light and drop any plan of digging even more dirty coal out !

This is so sad. Australia is going backwards. There has been so much action against this mine and yet both sides of government are all for it. Disgraceful!!! Thanks for posting Evelyn.

BMUTINY is correct, they wont STOP, need to be FORCED, SIGNED CONTRACTS means if we cant get COAL HERE we WILL get it OVER THERE. GREEDY M'Fers with SHARES DONT CARE. it's CONSERVATION VS 'CAPiTALiST PiGS. BE ETHICAL when you INVEST if YOU MUST INVEST make it RENEWABLE CLEAN INDUSTRiES, NOT FILTHY 'BLACK DEATH' (OiL TOO). thx for post.
