This article is a bit dated but good. "Monsanto was baffled from this decision to place glyphosate on the state’s list of close to 800 toxic chemicals. Charla Lord, spokesperson told Agri-Pulse that “glyphosate is an effective and valuable tool for farmers and other users, including many in the state of California."

Monsanto baffled??? New scientific studies are released daily showing the glyphosate exploding the stomachs of insects and recking havoc on animal and human digestive tracts - and Monsanto is baffled?!

That's right, the State of CA and the rest of us are just crazy, and it's Monsanto that's normal and rational. All those studies of glyphosate are lies. Give me a break! This is why we need to get MONEY OUT of congress, a.s.a.p!

Yeah, they're stunned alright. Stunned that people are standing up to them because their chemicals are causing very serious problems for humans, animals, plants and the environment. They are going to deny any study anyone releases is accurate. Only their fudged and outright lying reports are accurate. They just can't believe people have caught on to their lying and are fighting back. We need all countries that use or have used their chemicals to file charges against Monsanto!
Thanks Evelyn

Randy - if under 3 months is "dated" (10 Dec 2015) ..... Have other developments evolved that make it dated? If so - apologies, & I wish you'd post the updated information here, because many of us are concerned by the way that - up to now - these risky products are in widespread use, & big bucks have managed to blur info on the real dangers ....

And TPP & TTIP will soon make such State decisions almost impossible (because the Corporations will be able to sue even government agencies for loss of profits)

It's about damn time...though the fight isn't over, Monsanto will retaliate by taking it to SCOTUS...though that may backfire on them.

A case study in corporate greed and power. I wonder whether sanity, duty of care and common sense have a chance of prevailing in the presence of such giants? Thank you for sharing.

THEY now control the Governments - but WE THE PEOPLE can UNITE and TAKE ALL OUR GOVERNMENTS BACK to serve US instead of the Corporations and the 1%!
We have to be PRO-ACTIVE AND DO IT, rather than waiting until our Entire Planet is Poisoned.....

Finally! Now we wait to see how soon other states follow suit (and which follow most quickly)--my suspicions as to which part of the country will follow first are expectations I'll keep to myself, thank you. This is a nonpartisan and nationwide--make that worldwide--issue that spans borders, cultures, and races.

From the article:
"California has just dealt a blow to Monsanto as the state’s Environmental Protection Agency has decided to list glyphosate, the highly toxic main ingredient used in Roundup, as a known carcinogenic.

Under Proposition 65, also known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, the state is required to list and publish chemicals that cause birth defects, cancer, or other reproductive harm. If a chemical is found to be carcinogenic by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), they are required to be listed as well.

The IARC released a report, in March, that states glyphosate to be a ‘probably carcinogen.’ The report shows that the herbicide has been found to cause cancer in lab animals as well."

I wouldn't consider an article 2 months old to be "out dated" particular as we know our CORPORATE press isn't going to jump out there and notify us of something like this.

This shouldn't even be sold let alone finally have a label that reflects it's toxic poison.
