To think where the world will be at in 50 years at this point in time is unimaginable because if you look back at the leaps and bounds made over the past 50 years I would think technology will be so far advanced coupled with major breakthroughs and the likes we will be astonished to say the very least.

A big problem is that we educate our kids to do jobs that will be obsolete and not to the future that is coming faster than we think.

But the Education Experts are the product of old systems, and too few are able to step outside the boxes their OWN education placed in their minds! (And those boxes relate to values, priorities, as well as silo subject structures ... they repeat the class & power structures of their own youth & schooling, not today's realities.)

Very interesting interview. While Obama said we needed more funding for science & technology because it's underfunded, he didn't mention that the wasted billions going to all the various wars would have meant a lot to these other programs.....
