Noted. That fine is a drop in the ocean to them. It ain't nearly enough to clean up all the mess they make.

True, Jeff! But it's a start!

Hasn't happened often in the US (not much elsewhere, either ...)

This is peanuts compared to the $ they rake in each time we go to the gas station.

Great news, thanks Evelyn - although I agree ... this is just a drop in the ocean. They wont even feel it. But as a starter it's not too bad ...

Good evening and thank you for this article - it is about time- this should happen in OKLAHOMA also -these poor citizens are losing their homes to extreme earth quakes created by the DARN FRACKING OPERATIONS IN THAT STATE----there is no insurance to repair the homes- you can not sell the homes- they are not safe to live in- so you have to pay the mortgage and live out of your car -or in a tent in the back yards -so you can protect your possessiions from looters ---Here in LOUISIANA we are trying to fight off all attempts to frack here -for fear of fracking contaminating our ground water- wells and wild wet lands- KEEP FIGHTING -NEVER GIVE UP OR GIVE IN----To these repug- trump clan of alt right-kkk-white nazi-skin heads-they want to push all of these horrific things down out throats ----sincerely KAY M.

Unfortunately, Trumpass wants to get rid of the EPA and put an Native-American bigot in charge of Indian Affairs. Things cannot get much worse.

This fine is better than nothing, but it's a mere slap on the wrist to this corporation. Slawson Exploration Company should be criminally liable for the harm that they have done to the health of the people on the Fort Berthold Reservation. It appears they were reckless and negligent, and it's truly disgusting.
