This is infuriating. Can we say conflicts of interest? How about corruption?

All you people voting the people in that would confirm this man are responsible. It's on YOUR head.

Peggy - it may be a relief to frustration levels to play the "blame game" pointing to one group or another ... but perhaps it is a big mistake to blame ONE group? Remember the children's song "for the want of a nail"?

IF the two-party system hadn't started to drift into corporate-controlled stagnation ... voters wouldn't have been faced with such a sense of frustration that left them searching for a break in the "establishment choices"

IF the Dem leadership hadn't decided to offer Hillary Cinton as their candidate - ready to manipulate news coverage and any other means necessary when they realised they'd open the door to a more viable and popular candidate in the primaries - and obstinately stuck with that rather than recognise the message they were getting from "the people" ...

IF the system allowed third party candidates equitable coverage ...

I can't say I understand those who moved from Bernie to Trump ... but I know they exist, and I know the argument of some was that they couldn't bring themselves to vote for Clinton - in fact, for many it was a protest vote & they didn't expect him to actually win ... Intellectually, I get that, but it was a dangerous choice

I understand far better those who shifted to Jill Stein (blamed for Clinton's loss by those who voted for Clinton) - at least their vote went for what they believed in, despite the case being hopeless.

But now we have a dangerous situation, and trying to blame one or other doesn't help see how the risks can be reduced somehow. The question now is:
How to resist the worst effectively?

How to draw in to the resistance those who regret their choice?
How to draw into the resistance those whose PAC payers have vested interests that fall to the right - so they're under pressure to remain silent in the face of proposals such as Bernie's on medicines from Canada, or highly inappropriate nominations for top positions (like Pruitt, De Vos, etc etc ...)

Where & how to focus resistance as individuals ...

And how to create a wave of pressure that could swing the next elections away from this corporatocracy ..
Resisting positions that support division

It's time to stop blaming and try to do something...I could blame everyone under the sun, but that only gets me more frustrated. We have to stick together, try to change the system from the ground up. We need to also concentrate on local politics...revolutions start at the bottom, not necessarily at the top. If you think about it, many of the GOPTP started out local, then state, then Washington, DC. A great start would be to vote Keith Ellison in as DNC Chair. We need to get together, not grow apart. Thanx Evelyn.

And the rabid Right is still screaming about Hillary's emails. Pruitt SHOULD be thrown in jail, for even considering taking the post at the EPA, but especially for the lies and deceit he's shown the American people. Thanks for sharing Evelyn.

Feb. 12, Wind briefly powered more than 50% of electric demand on February 12 on the 14-state Southwest Power Pool (SPP) grid. Pruitt will put an end to this.

Any surprise here? Big Fossil Fuel knows they're in trouble, so they will use any nasty stratagem to delay the inevitable.

Thanks, Debra for that info!

With investment in alternative energy - both in installations but also in research that is providing more efficient & less expensive systems - alternative energy is increasingly becoming a cost effective supply system in terms of installation/ production ... and it avoids huge costs related to clean-up.

But the last thing fossil fuel moguls want is for this to be recognised officially - and formal shift over to solar & aeolian supply. Because if/when this happens, they'll lose all those profits they cream off ... and their recent investments won't pay off.
