i straight out REFUSE my taxes going to adani to further destroy our Reef, why are our politicians lying, are their pockets being secretly filled!!!

Hyperlinked petition and shared news article over social media
Can you contact the board of the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility and tell them why you oppose a handout for Adani?

I've lost track of how many petitions I've signed over the last year or so. This PM has been a big disappointment - not that I voted for him!

Many thanks for sharing, Evelyn. I have added an update at the end of the article about the Westpac bank indicating that it will not fund the Carmichael mine.

Further news about the Westpac refusal (after Annette's update of the article)

See Big four banks distance themselves from Adani coalmine as Westpac rules out loan

"Australia’s big four banks have all ruled out funding or withdrawn from Adani’s Queensland coal project, after Westpac said it would not back opening up new coalmining regions, prompting a scathing attack from the resources minister, Matthew Canavan."

"Coalition frontbencher calls for Queenslanders to boycott Australia’s second-largest bank after it says it will now only lend to mines in established coalfields"

Ros asks if this isn't "economic terrorism" (since in 2013 the same authorities labelled environmental activists protesting against the Adani project "economic terrorists") ...

Evelyn you have great friends...(Darren W...that sent this to me and I don't take forwards)....
This was disturbing!

"The Australian Greens will introduce a Bill into parliament next month in a bid to prevent nearly one billion dollars of public money going to the Indian multinational conglomerate Adani for construction of a rail link to transport coal.

The proposed concessional loan of AUD 900 million (about US$ 677 million) would be made to Adani by the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility (NAIF).

The coal would be transported more than 300 kilometres from Adani’s planned mega-mine in the Galilee Basin to the Adani-operated coal port at Abbot Point, and would then be exported to India."

Politics are a rotten issue for me. I don't agree on issues with my friends, but....YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Going to check out the rest of the links I saw when I was rushing to see what I am missing...darling if I missed something WRITE ME!
