We've all seen examples of trolling; we've seen cyber-bullying (even if we've been lucky enough not to have been a target). We've heard of tragic response by victims, some of whom chose the only escape they could think of. How about refusing it?

Thanks Evelyn, unfortunately, there are too many who also do it to people's faces, and they are adults. It is just as bold with children and it starts early in their lives.

My granddaughter who is only 10 has been told hurtful comments because of her darker skin as she has both Hispanic and American Indian heritage, then on the flip side a black girl was trying to pit her against her white friend by telling her lies about the girl. When my granddaughter didn't believe her the black girl said, what you don't believe a black person. Then the girl came to my door to say my granddaughter had said she hated black people.

I knew that wasn't true, so this little girl and I had a nice talk. She tried sticking to her story and walked off giving me the "talk to the hand" sign. But then she came back several hours later and apologized and said she was sorry for what she did and how she disrespected me and tried to start a fight between two friends.

It doesn't take children too long to start dealing with the harsh realities of life.

Powerful video. Passing this on, too, Thank you, Evelyn for posting.

*Dandelion, unfortunately....I call it 'Drama 101', and it continues through and up in high school where my grand-daughter has been 'dealing' with this bullying. She tries to ignore, and not say anything, and tries to work through the words, but I know that it's painful to her. She has left her 'old' group for another, and the new group of girls have embraced her, which is good. It's very hard to listen, and I for one can and will NOT stand by, and not say something. Bullying has no place in schools, restaurants, or other walks of life. imho.
