More than a dozen Victoria Police dogs will get service medals today to recognise their role in catching criminals. Of the 13 dogs, three deal with narcotics and three with firearms and explosives, while the others perform general duties.

I had a retired Police dog many years ago..Major..and he was so unconditionally loving..and dedicated..He was a search dog..
They are very well deserving of being honored for the work they do..And they love it..Major never lost his passion to search..lol..
Thanks Chrissy..

I am very pleased that their Police Dogs are being honoured in that way! :) Over here,(In England), the Police Dog ,also known by the criminals as 'The Land Shark!' ,is a major player in stopping criminals, and only comes second the the Armed Police...SO19,and the Police Helicopter!

When a Police dog is killed,it gets a full 'military style' funeral .... and the criminal that did it, always gets whats coming to him!!
