Community organizer Carmelo Agamez, who was helping people with land claims, has spent five months in jail and still has not seen the evidence against him, been told who his accuser is or been notified of a trial date. Welcome to justice, Colombia style.

One of the few activists in Columbia, go figure!

Yet, we are to consider this a democratic government? Let's just hope that enough attention is focused on his illegal 'detainment' to guarantee that he will soon be released.

May justice happen. Columbian prisons are not for the feint of heart. Carmelo, my prayers are with you.

It is a big shame and also a sad truth, that righteous people with a heart for justice will always be imprisoned and arrested, helping others.
