The Navy plans live-fire, anti-submarine war-games off the coast of Mendocino and Humboldt Counties, California. This will harm several million marine mammals, including whales and dolphins. The waste will kill many additional animals, for years to come.

Subject: Stop Navy From Killing Whales And Dolphins Off California Coast

Dear [Decision Maker],

I'm writing to express my strong opposition to upcoming Navy war-games off the California coast that will kill millions of marine mammals.

The Navy is planning live-fire, anti-submarine war-games along the Mendocino-Humboldt County coast. The Navy acknowledges more than a half million marine mammals -- mostly whales and dolphins -- could be harmed by explosions and especially by sonar. But according to animal protection organizations that I believe and support, the true numbers could be as high as 11 million, even when warships are miles away.

Our new administration promises change, but this is the same old disregard for the animals who share our oceans and make the California coastline so special.

I'd appreciate a response. I'd also appreciate if you'd call for Congressional hearings on this.

I am a constituent of yours, and I always vote.

got the same message, Claudia and we, in British Columbia, share a lot of those whales and other sea creatures when they move up and down the coastal waters. how do these unfeeling people make decisions against the wishes of the populace.
