One in five people worldwide go without access to safe and reliable water sources every day. Double that number go without basic sanitation services, such as latrines or even a place to wash their hands, contaminating water supplies.

I have just learned that any of the money the US gives other countries is only a loan. They do not give and the money never makes it to the people because of the horrendous interest charges they can not afford, and demand the money back at a later date when they know they cannot pay. This then makes the country indebted and the country then has to follow the US's every whim. Maybe it is a good thing the petition does not work. I don't want to be a party of further oppression do you?
