Arfan Bhatti, a well-known violent Islamist ex-convict in Norway, wants to introduce
sharia law in the country. (Image source: YouTube video screenshot)

Islamists such as Arfan Bhatti, Mullah Krekar and Ubaydullah Hussain have openly said they want Sharia law introduced in Norway, and placed above Norwegian law.
With such requests for divisiveness at it core, it is hard to see how Islam can not be in constant conflict with its surroundings.
There simply has been no real debate about the ripple effects created from this cultural collision-course between Humanism and Islamism.
It is probably high time to take a long, critical look at the contents of the Qur'an and see what values and spiritual seeds it can plant in people's minds. Europeans are just starting to face a reality with which Israelis have lived for years.
Here, those who seem "out of line" risk being publicly and privately destroyed by self-appointed "anti-racists," who do their best to sabotage anyone with the audacity to voice an opinion different from theirs.
Either way, this reaction shows that the openness for discussing sensitive issues is not much better in Norway than in Pakistan.
Politicians need to be especially wary of those they choose as advisors. It is so easy to be an extremist in moderates' clothing.

I wonder how many howls of dismay would emerge from our Mohammedan followers including their unofficial supporters of the fore-shortened left legs if Buddhists or Hindus (Let alone Baptists and Mormons) demanded special treatment and laws in Europe or the USA? I try to fathom what is the reason for the reverse discrimination repeatedly meted out to one religion by EU and incumbent USA leaders? Is it that the so-called more liberal elements in Western society are more easily intimidated by violence, demands and threats than the rest of us? So many question never asked let alone answered.

Given the youth of Islam, there's an analogy there of the slowly developing, but still hormonally based, adolescent teenager, always wanting his own way. Perfectly describes Mohammad. Do what I say, or die. . .

your special hilary. very, very special. cause of all the people on earth with high school schooling you're one of the maybe just handfeul who would find anything dissociative between islam and humanism. "By Him in whose Hand is my soul, a servant does not believe until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself of goodness." that's somewhere in the koran, google it. and of course, "the golden rule of islam". know what that is? no, i guess not huh? if you would have you would have had second thoughts on posting this affront to a religion based on love for you fellow man. " None of you has faith until he loves for the people what he loves for himself, and until he loves a person only for the sake of Allah the Exalted" look at their moral principles, that whatchamacallit they use a lot, ethics of reciprocity. i'm beginning to get the feeling that both sides of the coin on this site harbor extremists.

"By Him in whose Hand is my soul, a servant does not believe until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself of goodness"
and the definition of brother is not a fellow human being but rather a fellow mohammedan

not quite the same as
"do unto others as you would have them do unto you"
which is the Golden Rule"

Unbelievers are described by Muhammad (in the Qur'an) as "the vilest of animals" and "losers." Christians and Jews are hated by Allah to the extent that they are destined for eternal doom as a result of their beliefs. In fact, the Qur'an plainly commands believers not to take unbelievers as friends.
koran 5:51,koran 5:80,koran 3:118,koran 9:23,koran 53:29,koran 3:85,koran 3:10koran 7:74

also the ahadith
Muslim (1:417) - Taken to mean that one's own relatives should not be taken as friends if they are not Muslim.
Abu Dawud (41:4815) - "The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: A man follows the religion of his friend; so each one should consider whom he makes his friend."
Abu Dawud (41:4832) - The Messenger of Allah [said] "Do not keep company with anyone but a believer and do not let anyone eat your food but one who is pious."
Bukhari (59:572) - "O you who believe! Take not my enemies And your enemies as friends offering them (Your) love even though they have disbelieved in that Truth (i.e. Allah, Prophet Muhammad and this Quran) which has come to you."
Ishaq 262 - "Some Muslims remained friends with the Jews, so Allah sent down a Qur'an forbidding them to take Jews as friends. From their mouths hatred has already shown itself and what they conceal is worse"
Ishaq 252 - The story of a young man who converts to Islam after hearing Muhammad. He then tells his own father that he can no longer have anything to do with him because, "I have become a Muslim and follow the religion of Muhammad." (To maintain a relationship with his son, the father "converts" as well). This is an important passage because it establishes that the principle of shunning is based merely on the status of non-Muslims as unbelievers, not on their relations toward Muslims. In this case, the father desperately loved his son and meant him no harm.

"the golden rule of islam" -- sadly no such thing
pure taqiyya

Hilary, if Norway allows this they are done..."stick a form in them." Sharia Law is barbaric and it gives men a license to murder their wives and daughters. There's nothing good about Sharia Law. The open borders with the EU is destroying once strong (and financially sound) countries. Brussels is going down faster than a speeding bullet due to the massive immigration of Muslims. Many Muslims cannot assimilate and want the western countries to "stop what they are doing because it is against what Muslims believe and many believe in Sharia Law.

Why do Muslims migrate to western cultures? WHY? Why don't they stay in their own countries and practice their religion/culture just the way they want to? Western countries need to round these people up and send them back to the middle way passport. Many are having a baby every year...they should have those babies in their own countries. Muslims do not like the western way of life ... so don't go to a western country!

Justin, that is rather disingenuous of you, don't you think? Is any other religion anywhere beheading and executing everyone who is not of their own religion? This happens only with Islam, and whether that be only the extremists or not, they claim to act in the name of their religion. It is their religion which needs get them under control, not the rest of the world. There will never be Sharia in Norway, nor in the US, that would require a world war because all who are not Muslim will never acquiesce to that - it is not our way. Live and let live would be a better policy if Islamic extremists could understand and accept that simple precept. It should be enough to control your own life, nothing anywhere gives one the right to control anyone else's life. No book, no idea, no precept, no religion. Ever.

Diane O - perfect comment. I don't believe it is possible for us to live side by side with them and the problem is on their end, not ours. Therefore, they should have their own countries and stay in those countries.

Thank you, Janet, for your support. I am constantly bewildered why Muslims flock to the western countries when, in fact, they deplore the western culture. It would seem that they are far better off in their homeland practicing whatever religion that amuses them. I would never relocate to North Korea....would you? No, of course not. Many coming into America want to change our country. We would be hard pressed to go into their countries to impose our western culture. They simply wouldn't allow it.

Gene J. What a beautifully written post, another green star for you. Every human being has a right to believe and worship who and what they like but they do not have a right to move into a new homeland and then try to change that land into a replica of what they left. If they want, what they left, then why make the journey to a new life in the first place. It is in the nature of humans to want to bring things from the old land but if they want to fit into the new life they have to assimilate. Thank you for posting and the many good comments. . .
