I think this is sad. Such snap judgements are not very good indicators of people... may be a great photog but not much of a advisor. Would I want to spend my weekend with him?

The important message to take away here is that the "weekend test" is for close friends/colleagues in whose company you will be spending a large part of your waking hours. It's not for every single business acquaintance you meet. The level of time and effort you will potentially invest into each person in your circles will vary so you don't need to apply this to everyone.
