Contrary to the belief that plants could help cool earth, scientists have found that they will directly warm the land surface when there is excess carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

Well, the loonies on the right and the corporatists who only seek ever-expanding profit will seize upon any excuse to leave the status quo intact. But saying that plant life will offset factory pollutants is a lame and unsuccessful attempt to shift the blame off of their shoulders for environmental damage.
