Here in the United States, corrupt politicians and their corporate overlords have raped the wealthiest nation in the history of civilization, reducing one out of five Americans to unemployment as the income of the rich skyrockets.

Left / Right is losing meaning more & more politically. It's basically the Authoritarian Elite vs. everybody else. The 1975-era Left/Right is outdated but continues to be used by the Corporate lap-dog media to keep us commoners pitted against each other. I think the Overlords are convinced of their own invulnerability but what would happen if almost everyone just said, "I'm taking the next few days off?" Could anything in society be accomplished by the self-appointed 21st century Caesars without our efforts?

Thanks Michiel. I pray the american people wil rise up and stand against the Evil Corporations.

Take back YOUR rights to a good and healthy life.

I believe you are right, we too need to revolt against the government which is now oppressing us. If it doesn't get done legally it will have to be with street justice. They are turning us into their slaves and taxing without representation. We are all getting screwed by our own Congress & Supreme Court. We need a revolution from all of us who are not mega rich. They have bit the hand that feeds them and have not been held accountable yet! I am a lil older but I could still fight. People have willingly died for this country and they have sold her like an ole whore.

“Why can't we have a Tahrir Square?
Lord knows we need one.”

About time! If I had any hope of being allowed in the USA I would come to the demonstration on October 6, 2011 in Washington's Freedom [Tahrir] Square. October 6th marks the tenth anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan.

So anyone who is not happy with the way things are, please bring your tents and soup kitchens and be prepared for a wonderful atmosphere. It could be legendary; the biggest protest in the world? An American popular revolution?

Don’t let the Middle East prove they are the only brave people in the world. The USA isn’t China (yet) so let the Tiananmen Square tank stopping man inspire you to action!

Iran has proved that it is possible to take back democracy from corporate rulers and maintain it.

"History is not a fairy tale you read to your children at night," reads the mission statement. "It is not something someone else did in another place. History is right here and right now, in front of you."

Ty Michael - our Austerity measures in Europe are begining to wind folk up enough to properly revolt rather than just pop out for a nice days protest - keep an eye on Germany next -they are getting fed up with bailing everyone elses world bank debts off. i suppose over here our gov doese try and explain reasons for doing things and is transparent if people want to watch the boaring goverment questions channel however mr cameron our elected puppet has not furfilled his election promise that the people should vote if we go to war i/e libya however mr Gadaffi has not won the british peoples hearts and minds supporting the arab awakening sounds nice -but i bet someone gets the rebuilding contracts

There is a never ending supply of money going to the middle East countries from America to support killing of innocent citizens in an effort to STEAL the resources from them!!! For the elites GREED & benefit! CORRUPTION to the core! No others gain! When does this INSANITY come to a STOP? WHY NOT NOW! Why let this corruption be delayed till October 6th???? People need to get together and get loud...the filthy rich cannot continue to steal from their own people, they need to be stopped and something really drastic needs to happen...Obama needs to man up and wise up for the people before it is too late, sadly I think it may be already.

Cheers Michael...

Michael Ruppert (Investigator/Author): Benito Mussolini had a great quote about Fascism: he said that 'Fascism' should be called 'Corporatism' more properly, because it's the perfect merger, of power between the corporation and the State. That's how he defined Fascism! And that's what we're seeing here.

Viva La Revolution! Power to the People!! Don't be sheeple people!! :0)

SOMETHING has to be done to rescue our country from the fascist slide into a neo-feudal tragedy!
Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone
If your time to you
Is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.

As someone who lives in the Middle East (Yemen) and has, just this year, spent time in Egypt, Syria and Spain where there are either turmoils, protests or revolutions, all I can say is that I find this moment of history particularly sad. I am tired of losing friends, of worrying about friends, of dreading another "Friday of rage" in the Middle East or being paralyzed in front of the news.
What have I understood? That these revolutions are not as depicted by the mainstream media. The people are in the streets revoltuing against greedy governments but, on the other side, even when the dictator or elite steps down (or is nearly killed like in Yemen), someone else is ready to gain ground only moved by personal interests (ie: oil, strategic position of the country, etc).
Will the people's lives ever change, improve? Perhaps, but not in the short term.

The gvmt is trying to get approved a "kill switch" for the internet, and if they know about this plan to have difficulty connecting with your friends, or hearing about the latest on the net. There is someone who is working on the internet working direct to and from each source. This was on Democracy Now recently. Hopefully something like that will be working. Be sure you don't dance since the mall is a historic site, isn't it?
They did not arrest after the one over Memorial Week-end at the Jefferson Memorial that was held the following week-end.
This will be a test. Why have elections when their is little to choose from and the machines are rigged.
We have some people in office running various departments and branches of our government who are not true Americans but are instead shills and thugs working for the racketeering that has been obvious. Yes, lets prosecute WikiLeaks Assange, but let's not prosecute Bush and Cheney for crimes against people's rights and the deaths of more than a million. It is absurd. Too many laws and too many lawless leaders.

Judith, yes, too many laws and far too many lawless leaders.
When you reach power, you think you are above the law (see Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi).

Thank you so much for sharing this, Michael. I sincerely hope that the people of the "more comfortable" nations will rise up and protest. I.too, will put that date on my calendar. For those who cannot go to Washington, events could happen all around the country. Like the ones that happened to support the Wisconsin protests.

Part of the problem in the past is that the media is owned lock stock and barrel by the wealthy. The tea party has a dozen people gather and it gets all the press, we gather with a couple hundred or more and are ignored. Hopefully a huge demonstration will be covered as well as the smaller ones around the country. We need to make so much noise we can't be ignored.

thank you Michael- I agree with Henriette
It's only when the Government fears the people that we can have Democracy. It must be a peaceful revolution- no violence or bloodshed.. If you fight fire with fire, you become as bad as those who repress you.

Michael we need to get this out on Facebook by everyone who is in Facebook. We all seem to agree that we are enslaved by the upper 3% of the population and it has to stop. That percentage is getting violent and also making unscrupulous profits while many people are homeless, jobless with no health care. Certain people in both parties are responsible, although I am still for Obama but his hands are tied, but he definitely is for the people but Republicans will stop him and I think would assinate him if given the change. Violence is in the political parties. The hatred and I feel racism is evident. But people look around and you see white, yellow, brown, and black Americans. Where is this country going cutting back on the middle class. Making voting difficult. unions that created the middle class, Lets move America on October 6. I will get into Facebook today and start.

On Oct 6th my thoughts will be with all the people at the rally. I am not a US resident, but I sympathize with all the homeless, jobless Americans... They are sufferring through no fault of their own. They deserve as your constitution says to have protected
"certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
