Can't jump to judgment here because there are so many questions. If she was thrown from the car, she wasn't wearing a seat belt, which may very well have saved her beautiful life. There are many people affected who will never be the same for the rest of their lives. My heart goes out to them all. Such a tragedy.

Okay... did I read that right...

"BSO officials said it was not immediately known how fast the two cars were going or which driver may have been at fault".

Wait a second... he didn't have his lights on!!! I'm sorry... I've seen too many cops "playing around" driving at ridiculous speeds just because they are in a police vehicle only to pull over at the local burger joint to meet their fellow officers for lunch. Granted, there are definitely the "good guys" out there but, don't forget, the police are still human and they are capable of making stupid mistakes just as anyone else is. This poor girl lost her life... what a shame!!! I pray for her and her family. Thanks for the post Lone. Peace.

PS... I have a thirteen year old son and if it were he who was in the accident, I'd be at the police officers throat!!!

It appears that they are not sure if he was off duty, did not sound his siren or have his lights on. There is no doubt that he was in complete indifference to the laws that guide the police in different circumstances and a young girl paid the ultimate price. This police officer has committed a criminal offense and should be responsible for his actions.

The Honda heading north made a left turn in front of the police car heading south - the driver of the Honda ended this young lady's life - very sad indeed. Thanks T.
