Salem » Nigel Olsen stood with the ocean to his back, snapped to attention and threw a salute to the camera. At the time -- more than a decade ago -- it was the playful gesture of a boy who loved to pretend he was in the military.

Sad and my prayers too are with his family. "The good, they die young." (Don't remember who said it but it was a line in a song.) Interesting though, I thought it was a religious thing with the Latter Day Saints not to serve in the military, but shows you what it (don't) know.

My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. I pray this war will end so all our men and women serving, may return to their loved ones safely.

Why did his parents not educate him to understand that war is pointless, legalized murder and can be fatal?...Some parents do not deserve to be parents.

I pray for all our men and women in the military and a special thanks and prayer for N. Olsen.

I pray for no one. But if I did, it would not be for those in the military, it would be for the innocent people (co-lateral damage) they murdered...All soldiers who go to war are fully aware that they are there to kill or be killed. I have no mercy for anyone who is stupid enough to think that serving "King and country" is more important than killing people they do not know.

Once a Marine, always a Marine. Your sacrifice will be remembered.

"Some gave all..." This young man lived his dream. He gave his life to serve our country. He was the best of the best! My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family. He is sadly missed. Thanks Lone.

"He gave his life to serve our country."

His did not give his life 'to 'serve our country' it was taken from him by his country to provide cannon fodder while the munitions corporations sat in their offices and made huge profits.

His country sent him to his death. He did not give his life for anyone....

The sooner people wake up to the fact that the current wars are illegal and kids like Nigel are the innocent victims of military training (brainwashing) and really think they are 'serving their country' the better...Get real, war solves nothing. Never has, never will.

Grigory``war solves nothing.Never has, never will`` I think the Veterans of WW2 and their families might be slightly offended by your statement, not to mention the people saved from the gas chambers.

Well apparently Grigory Rasputin (aka David Buchan) wants to hide from his comments now, and has changed identity yet again to ``Past Member`` with a blocked profile. If I had posted these offensive comments, I would want to hide too!

I stand corrected, on This page Grigory Rasputin (aka David Buchan, aka Past Member) who lives in Austrialia, has appearantly just joined Care2 today, and is a female living in the U.S.A. Curious as he/she blames the U.S.A. for all the worlds problems
