The internet has emerged as one of the greatest threats to rare species, fuelling the illegal wildlife trade and making it easier to buy everything from live lion cubs to wine made from tiger bones, conservationists said today

> INTERNET is BIG THREAT
is it? maybe. (nusuth)
but -methinks- the root causes are monetary-ism and greed & we should try to abolish these.

The internet cannot be sloely blamed for this as much as I agrre to a certain degree.
Humans are those that drive this industry as every industry on the planet.
There are ways to track these SOB's, and the interent is the exact tool in which to do it, and do it better than the murderers of animals and those that have the almighty dollar as their GOD.
WE, the lover and fighters for all animals and other species need to pool our resources and use the internet to catch these greedy monsters that have conscience whatsoever. It has to be done soon or we will lose our precious creatures and all other living things.
I find it amazing that greed is the drive, so it is easier to find a stolen vehicle, or stolen anything...but the resources are not being utilized for finding missing children, people, and animals.
Again...the almighty greed of the human animal so overwhelms everything on the planet.
Human concerns have little care for the planet and its other living things, that we continue to let these human monsters slaughter one speices after another....and no one even making a effort to turn the tables with the same technology.

Thanks for this post, as usual, Lone Wolf.

Everyone needs to read the January, 210 issue of National Geogrpahic to learn about the awful international trade in animals.

The two worst countries: Communist China (exports) and the United States (imports).

Before the internet. Ignorance was bliss! Not anymore. Now we are learning everything about everything. It has its good and bad points. Sometimes I just wish for the ignorance, sigh. Thanks Terry
