There is obviously something wrong with this situation if these dogs are so incessantly agressive without being provoked! I hope that law enforcement does some serious investigating into this guy who owned the pitbulls. The pitbulls don't need to live so that they become so agressive, and it is not safe for anyone else, even this suspicious owner.

Again the owners train these dogs to be so viscious. And the dog suffers. Sorry about the offer being attacked. They need to point the blaim on the owner.

Dogs are the product of their environment so one must assume they lived in a life of violence to become violent and that is not the fault of the dog. Sad that an animal becomes a victim of their owner's stupidity!

Absolutely necessary to kill these dogs.........due to aggression-but yet again--lets put the responsibility where it belongs--on the asshole owners..............Thank you Terry. I hate to hear about these kinds of stories even if the kill is justified.

Thanks for sharing this. If the man could not control his dog he had no business owning that kind of dog. Now there is an injured police officer, a dead dog another black eye on the pitbull breed. Such a shame. Chances are that if that dog had been brought up by someone who knew what they were doing this would never have happened. It's like giving a loaded gun to a child. Bad combination and someone is going to get hurt.

The dogs did what was reasonable to them...WHY they took that action is the owners responsiblity.....dig a little deeper here and you will find something they were there to protect for him....Unless taught, these dogs are not THAT aggressive, this was like they were "sicced upon" the victims....Thank you, Lone, very sad for the dogs and innocent injured victims.

So sad - it's always the dogs that will be blamed in our world today through narrow minded people, another bad news item for the lovely pitties. Hope the police officer gets well and RIP to the dog that lost its life.

These dogs are not aggressive, no more aggressive than any other dog, very soft, lovely, loyal dogs

Horrible. Dogs doing what they are trained to do makes it tough to feel anything but anger with the owner. TY Lone
