Amazon is the biggest online retailer in the world. And the company has signed a $600 million contract to provide "cloud computing" services to the Central Intelligence Agency.

The Mussolini comment comes to mind, "Fascism should be called Corporatism because it's when corporate interests and government interests combine."

Another great reason to reject these big corporate Wall Street businesses and shop local mom & pops.

Thanks for promoting, Roseann! I was about to submit this but you beat me to the punch - and I am not at all upset. If Amazon starts selling customer info to Big Brother, it's back to the brick-and-mortar stores for me.

I couldn't agree more. I discovered indiebound.org. I like the selections they feature...then I go find them in a local bookstore.
