Microsoft is going legit with its Windows 10 upgrade notifications, and it did it just in time to still matter.

Too little too late as far as I'm concerned. Thank heavens for GWX control panel, it has kept Windows 10 at bay for me.

Pity me, dear friends, as I was forced to replace my burned-out lap with the cheapest I could find--and the only option---Windows 10. Natch!! Such luck. The only positive---I have developed the patience of a near saint. Thanks for the news Rob.

I'm tired of getting the constant reminders to update to version 10. I DON'T WANT IT!! I've heard too many horror stories from people who went ahead and did the upgrade.

I swear by Never10. I run it every time I accept an update, immediately. Janice, I am so sorry about your laptop - I wish I had known as I'm sure it's too late now, but I'll bet you could have found something at Arrow Direct in Windows 7 for cheap. AniMae's link is also reliable but it probably won't help if the laptop came with Windows 10. I don't suppose you have an old installation disk for 7 or 8?

The pop-ups to upgrade to Window 10 are a nuisance ... would never ever go for it. Have too many friends who have horror stories to tell! Thanks for sharing, Rob.
