For Fayiz al-Kandari, one of the last two Kuwaitis in Guantánamo, American justice has always been an oxymoron. Although he has maintained - for nearly nine years - that he is an innocent man, and although the U.S. government has no evidence

I want to add another comment here . When we most recently found out that the military and CIA have secrets they do not share with anyone even the president how do any of us really know that Obama even heard of this man ?
I am not saying Obama doesn't know I am asking the question how do we know he does know ?
As far as no habeas corpus for foreign prisoners that law was passed under the previous administration and I do agree it needs to be changed. I think everyone deserves a fair trial .

If this were a suspense movie we would not believe it and we would be on the edge of our seats waiting for an end to it. I am amazed at the strong will of this man. He is a victim of horror, a man who has endured years of imprisonment just because someone can. There is no reason for his imprisonment other than corruption and fear and the need of the American military to maintain a stance of infallibility. How bizzarre! Who is it that has such power that even President Obama cannot close the whole thing down and clear away the stink that hangs over his whole country because of it? Guantanamo is just one piece of a vast criminal organization that poses as a protector of the United States. In reality anyone who has the ability to think clearly can see that their operations continually place the people of the USA in danger of suffering reprisal attacks. All this does is maintain the need for a military. Is that the real game here?

You cannot currently send a Green Star to Linda R because you have done so in the last week.... I totally agree with what she said.

What an incredible man he must be to remain in a sound state of mind after enduring so much. I do admire him . Is there anything else that we can do to help him.? I have a feeling that I might have signed a petition the other day from Amnesty International? I just so HATE this type of injustice and you wonder how in this day and age such things still happen. It is frustrating not to be able to do more.
