Men aren't from Mars and women aren't from Venus, but their brains really are wired differently, a new study suggests.

This time, I'm not gonna look,. I'm going to bed.

That's why both deserve respect

Fascinating, and it seems that there are many combinations and degrees that change over time.

Saw this on the news, last night, then read it on Earthskynews, this morning, was tempted to post it, but figured someone else might already have done so, (in my rudimentary intuitive section?)
Thanks, Giana.

Yes and no. The degrees of difference is very variable, at least from hearing the results of experiments I am aware of.

Raised two boys, don't need to read any report or study to know their brains work differently...Did my best, but when that testosterone kicked in at puberty, it all flew out their ears and they started doing all those strictly male things that seem hardwired into the male genes. Still that way today...

Interesting article and yes, one can see the obvious differences in so many conversations and experiences.

I was pleased that the article mentioned several times that the results are general and not to be applied to individuals. It is still very important to not put people in boxes because of their sex or skin colour or whatever.

The "wiring" described here is the "general", "statistically proven", "wiring". Exercise can interfere with this generality.

Musicians who start young, about the age of 6 or 7, intense musical practice, enlarge their "front - back" connection, boys strengthening the connecting "cable" even more, and girls developing a more "male-like" "connection" between the front lob and the back.

The brain.... interesting and still quite unknown part of the human body.

Thanks for posting Giana!
