Starfish limbs wrench themselves from their bodies when suffering from a mysterious new disease. Biologists don't know what causes the affliction or how to stop it.

In healthy starfish, the limbs can wrench themselves from their bodies in order to generate new limbs, which tragically they are unable to do with this wasting disease. Thanks for this article, Gina.

A very possible, serious situation in the 'balance of things' . Lets hope they find the cure/cause and solve this a.s.a.p....which it does sound as though 'they' are working really hard to do just that. We wish the researchers/scientist well and that via their efforts that a speedy solution will soon be in hand.

Just another message from a world whose song we continue to ignore. One day, however, the song will be a scream but by then it will be too late ... or it that time now?

Frack away, dump your industrial and factory farm waste into the seas and oceans. It could be any number of things or a combination of things. We don't know and it's scary.
