ItâEUR(TM)s hard not to FeelTheBern these days, that is the Bernie Sanders energy that is storming the nation. Just last week Sanders had the largest turnout of any presidential candidate so far in this primary race with nearly 10,000 people.

Clearly people are finding it refreshing to actually believe the campaign promises being touted by a candidate. A self-described democratic socialist, Sanders, 73, is a U.S. Senator for Vermont and has been in Congress for more than 22 years. He has a 95 percent lifetime score for voting in favor of protecting the environment and is a longtime supporter of immediate action on climate change.

I had the chance to see Sen. Sanders in Denver, Colorado on June 20 where he spoke to a crowd of more than 5,000 people at the University of Denver.

This event was just days after Donald Trump announced his run for president while playing Neil Young’s classic tune “Rockin’ in the Free World.” The next day, Young released a statement saying, “Yesterday my song ‘Rockin’ in the Free World’ was used in a announcement for a U.S. presidential candidate without my permission … Music is a universal language. So I am glad that so many people with varying beliefs get enjoyment from my music, even if they don’t share my beliefs. But had I been asked to allow my music to be used for a candidate—I would have said no.”

Neil Young will have more substance in him than Donald Trump will ever be able to buy in several lifetimes.

Bernie Sanders is a refreshing change to the political scene, given Capitalism's outright failure and continued greed and superiority complex predicated by Republicans.

I believe , not sure when McCain ran he used Foo Fighters "There goes my hero"
You would think they would have advisors telling them what artists are no way going to approve their songs being used even if they do pay the fee.
I'm just scared of Hillary.
Thank you Betsy

12, not ten. number 11 is that we can all own guns. every single one of us. he is the gun lobby's greatest asset. number 12 is that when we get horny bernie says that every woman fantasy is getting raped. so we can use the guns bernie gives us and rape the any woman we want because she really wants it anyway. so it's 12 reasons. not 10.

It's so gratifying to see Bernie gaining momentum as the people across the country are getting to know him. Not long ago my friends in Texas, even though, liberal thinkers, had not heard of Bernie. I made sure that didn't last but now I'm sure they've heard plenty. Thank goodness! Thanks, Betsy.

For a change of my usual comments on Bernie, let me pick up on Justin there. I'm asking for forgiveness if this doesn't sit well with you, Betsy, or anyone else! ;-)
Not going to dig into that sex fantasies thing but, regarding the gun lobby, much to my surprise as I have not known this, I incidently just had a petition emailed to me about this very issue.
It's from the CSGV(Coalition to stop gun violence) asking to

tell Senator Sanders to reconsider his support for Gun Industry Immunity.

That's interesting so I read what's it all about. I suggest you do the same and then consider signing the petition, in hopes it may result in a "cleanwashed" Bernie free of a perceived flaw!

Thanks Betsy, Bernie Sanders is one of the very few who actually seems to get what life is like for ordinary people in this country. Not perfect, and yet, bless him for being there for the common people, about time someone heard our voices. Also a big fan of Neil Young, thanks to him to for standing up for all.

Every day I like him more. I'll get to the polls to vote for him, and encourage others to do so! The only problem with having Bernie in the Oval Office - er, make that 500 something problems - is CONGRESS!
