How this meat is grown? Who grows it? Why? All covered by the article with a video. While it is not Vegan, it could end factory farming....and other problems. Please note, comment and forward.

It would stop the horrible way industrial animals are slaughtered . There would go lots of methane, ground contamination, antibiotics and mad cow disease. laboratory-grown meat embraces technologies that will help it cut down on harmful emissions and pollution . But when I think of manufactured meat I think Ewwwwww .

I don't know what some members signed (there was NO petition) but I did note the article as it is quite interesting.

I went vegetarian for a variety of reasons many years ago, and one of them is the unjustified suffering that meat animals experience. If vat-grown meat ever becomes reasonably priced, I just might try some.

Interesting. I'd be a bit concerned abut it. I too am vegetarian. No meat. No worry/ Thanks Fiona

A major technological achievement. A worldwide breakthrough of advancement.
A positive solution at a variety of levels.
Primarily this could feed the starving masses that are barren of water, plants and meat
in third world countries as, East Africa, the Sudan etc...
China need not buy cattle from the West, from the cattle barons that are killing off
our wolves.
No need to slaughter horses for consumption.
No need to slaughter domestic animals for consumption.
The possibilities are endless. The pros outweigh the cons.
Physicians will recommend that not everyone can be a vegan.
For health reasons, those who are vitamin deficient and anemic
are advised to have a small piece of meat the size of your palm
to sustain good health. Human beings are carnivorous.
Thank you for posting
