This video shows the final resting place of Geronimo and speaks of his life and the final conditions at the end of his life. Geronimo was a great leader of the Apaches Arizona and the Meixcan Province of Sonora. Look him up for more info. RIP

Today I am going to visit a "Big Lots" parking lot in Mesa Arizona....where Gerinomo ambushed the US calvary. Living here in the desert my admiration for the Apaches grows and grows.

Geronimo was not allowed to return to the land of his birth. He died at the Fort Sill hospital in 1909. He was still a prisoner of war. He is buried at the Fort Sill Indian Agency Cemetery surrounded by the graves of relatives and other Apache prisoners of war. Happy Birthday Great Man - Great Warrior .

Would it not be amazing and wonderful is these lists of birthdays and deaths that are used as fillers on news and radio devoted those few seconds to honoring ordinary people who have helped in many ways! Would be especially great if they honored our military and veterans.

John, I completely agree with you. Ordinary people....are who you are and who my family and I am. My two sons are disabled Navy veterans....and I know that faithfully served the American people....though most American people never think of them...and most Americans do not understand this statement: Freedom is not free.
