Obama was the only president whose administration was enmeshed in multiple wars from beginning to end. His imperial ventures spanned many countries âEUR" Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Somalia, Yemen and Pakistan.

Obama ordered nearly 100,000 bombs and missiles delivered against defenseless targets, a total greater than that of the more widely-recognized warmonger George W. Bush’s total of 70,000 against five countries. Iraq alone – where U.S. forces were supposed to have been withdrawn – was recipient of 41,000 bombs and missiles along with untold amounts of smaller ordnance. Meanwhile, throughout his presidency Obama conducted hundreds of drone attacks in the Middle East, more than doubling Bush’s total, all run jointly (and covertly) by the CIA and Air Force.

Obama engineered two of the most brazen regime-change operations of the postwar era, in Libya (2011) and Ukraine (2014), leaving both nations reduced to a state of ongoing civil war and economic ruin. For the past seven years Libya has been overrun by an assortment of militias, jihadic groups, and local strongmen – predictable result of the U.S./NATO bombing offensive to destroy the secular nationalist (and modernizing) Kadafi regime. This was purportedly Secretary of State Clinton’s biggest moment of glory, her imperialist gloating on full display following Kadafi’s assassination. As this is written conditions in Libya worsen by the day, reports surfacing of hundreds of people killed during violent clashes in the suburbs of Tripoli as rival militias fight for control of the capital. Militias now exercise control over ports, airfields, and much of the oil infrastructure. More tens of thousands of Libyans are being forced from their homes, a development greeted with silence at CNN and kindred media outlets.

United Nations spokesperson Stephane Dujarric recently decried this violence, noting the indiscriminate shelling by armed groups killing civilians, including children. Not to be outdone, the U.S. (joined by a few European states) issued a statement condemning the violence in Libya, reading in part: “We urge armed groups to immediately cease all military actions and warn those who tamper with security in Tripoli or elsewhere in Libya that they will be held accountable for any such actions.” How thoughtful of those very military actors who, with U.N. blessing, brought nothing but endless death and destruction to the Libyan people.

More on site... including Obama's always questionable relationship with Putin.

The really burning question is why the Resistance waited until after Obama's tensure to arise?

I would say: it was to be fear of the completely Authoritarian nature of the Obama presidency, lack of "global" political awareness or hyprocrisy.

Please read the article (from a truly Marxist view), note, comment, and forward.

Yes of course he could not resist the long term goals of the military industrial think tanks. The meteoric rise of a one term senator last part which is campaigning learned fairly fast resistance was futile. But since Colin Powell already got the picture and Condoleeza Rice had to answer for her role it fell up him and Michele to say the obvious. Without affirmative action the upwardly mobility in our increasingly militarized state is through the military it has always been but now more so than ever.
Dresden-like is the key - a slow motion WWII in the middle-East destroying country by country, city by city to rebuilt in an eventual Marshall like plan if we don't run ourselves into the ground or crazy first or if climate change doesn't wreck havoc on the best laid plans of the new regional war. Those cities in Europe and Japan didn't happen by accident or military necessity other than rending everyone so dependent on help they had little resistance left. That would be communist resistance force supposed to be allies against fascism.
Russia and China didn't turn out so well in requiring western assistance meaning the rest of the 20th was devoted to dealing with them. And yes that attempt to replace the Russian Monarchy with the White Russian went rouge too so all of the 20th century WWI and beyond was about oil and communism. And the oil part is still a work in progress..

I thiank you, Wilde, for your comments.

I thank everyone who has noted. This is a significant article for me since I have always worked for PEACE.

I hope it gets to the front page and I know it is rare for one of my articles to get to the front page, and many people beside me realize the reason why.
