On the Monday night premiere of his Current TV show, host Keith Olbermann informed viewers that this version of Countdown would be “a newscast of contextualization,” presented with the point of view that the “weakest citizen in this country is more important than the strongest corporation” and that “the nation is losing its independence through the malfeasance of one political party and the timidity of another.”

Oh yeah - he's back! (Check with your cable or satillite company for the listings of Current TV Channel.)

Yes, but the show aired tonight I believe. So what is the problem with the post. If it bores you, why are you here?

I was happy with most of it.. but I wish he'd get more "Beckish" - ya know? C'mon, Keith can afford to go hands-on: burn effigy's, tar & feather chicken-hawks..oops, better Not do that..but you get what I'm saying - rouse the rabble!:)

Give him some time, this was just the first show. He and Al Gore seem to have an agreement, Keith is free to say what he wants. There is a good article in "Rolling Stone" about this.

LOL....rouse the rabble! Repeat...

You made me laugh Yvonne. thanks. The rabble (those who can spell, this time) could use some rousing.

Not that spelling the most important thing. Its the message...but I just love ragging on the Baggers, because like Bush, its what they say as well as how they say it that makes you laugh when your not saying OMG and WTF.

I was very pleased with the first show although I thought it lacked a little in punch and production values.

Since listening to the baggers and Republicans, my favourite new word is WTF. I skip right past the OMG. Spelling is not the most important thing, especially when you listen to Palin. She is charting new territory with the English language, a real Maverick!

I missed it, didn't realize his program was on. Thanks for the heads up as I do have the Current channel on my TV. We need his voice no matter where he throws it from.

“Noun. Any air-head who promises, lives for, or campaigns on the eradication of the social safety net and the vilification of the lower-class for the gain of aggregated capital.”

The Countdown Contra-dictionary brings you… Rand-idate!
